Participating in trade shows gave us valuable face-to-face interaction with the community—a crucial element in building trust for a service as personal as dog walking. These in-person events allowed us to connect with new potential clients, strengthen relationships with current ones, and increase local awareness of our presence.

 

To encourage engagement, we held raffles in exchange for emails, which helped grow our marketing list. We also offered free pup cups as an easy, fun incentive for both existing and prospective clients to stop by. One of our most popular features was the “Smooch the Pooch” photo booth, starring dog model Sunny; people would snap pictures, tag us on social media, and spread our reach organically.  It was a fun and effective way to boost brand visibility and foster community connection.

Objective:  I curated branded print materials and set up a visually engaging table display that highlighted the benefits of hiring a dog walker. A QR code linked directly to our Instagram, making it easy for attendees to follow us on the spot. This helped drive social growth, reinforce brand trust, and keep our services top of mind even after the event.

Objective: In a saturated market where dog walkers were on every block, we used our booth materials to clearly communicate what set us apart. We emphasized our on-demand, flexible scheduling model, highly vetted and trustworthy team, and detailed visit updates that consistently outperformed the competition. Being bonded also reassured clients of our professionalism. This messaging not only attracted clients—it supported our hiring strategy by reinforcing the high standards expected from our team in delivering a premium service. We also used this time to hire outstanding team members!
